The mantel below was fabricated from a single oxidized brass sheet, with water-jet-cut notches to accommodate a bronze grid, into which are set and grouted 42 cast glass bricks. Dimensions, frame material, patina, glass shape and color are all customizable, and the mantel can be formatted to surround a firebox of any shape, and installed in a hearth of any material.
